How I Became An Elite London Escort, Part 1

How I Became An Elite London Escort

Hello my wonderful Daisies!  The month of May, I officially celebrated my one-year anniversary of being a high class escort *clap, clap*. The journey has been long but incredible and I’ve learnt so much about others and this business, but most importantly, about myself.

Why I Became A Companion

One of the questions I’m frequently asked is why? Why did I become a companion? Well, aside  from the obvious financial benefits that come from  being an “elite London escort”, I had a deep yearning to explore the NEW in life. I wanted to meet new people and have new adventures. I wanted to experience something that was more exhilarating than anything I’d known up until then.

Let me tell you, I haven’t been disappointed and have had the great pleasure to meet some of the most generous, thoughtful, and funny gentlemen this past year. It’s been so fulfilling, I hope to expand my circle of clients  by seeing  more couples and solo women this next year!

How It Started

Whether to be an independent escort in London was a big decision requiring much consideration. I I spent many days and nights going over the pros and cons that I’m sure many of my fellow companions also considered before beginning their escort journeys.

Deciding to hide my face or not, ensuring family or friends don’t find out, maybe balancing another job, relating to a myriad client personalities and safe-guarding my own mental and physical well-being.

Eventually I decided the advantages outweigh the disadvantages and took the plunge into the world of high class London escorts! After all I figured, if I didn’t like it, I could quit and still had the safety of my 9-5.

I read an incredible book called Thriving In Sex Work by Lola Davina. Davina’s inspiring work played a huge part in informing my decision to become an elite London escort. I knew I’d regret not trying it even if it was for a few months!

Escorts & Sex Workers: A Surprising Community

One of the greatest gifts that has been given to me on this journey has been the pleasure of joining the community. I never knew this world was full of beautiful individuals, with gorgeous personalities and a camaraderie I’d never seen before.

The support within the community is astounding and I feel many of us genuinely look out for one another and ensure each other’s safety. The compassion and knowledge VIP escorts will extend to one another and the laughs we share are elements of this job I hadn’t anticipated, and am deeply grateful for. It’s a true privilege.

The Unfortunate Whorearchy

What I wasn’t prepared for and blindsided by, was the unfortunate “whorearchy”. Mysterious Witt in her blog post defined whorearchy as, “hierarchal system by which sex workers too often order themselves from “elite” to “inferior.” That is “arranged according to intimacy of contact with clients and police.”

I’m not going to go in to too much detail as Mysterious Witt’s blog post explains the “high class girls” concept in perfect detail and I encourage all peers and allies to read.

However, whether you have an Only Fans, are a stripper, cam girl, FSSW, sugar baby , dominatrix, VIP dinner date, FMTY travel companion, survival worker or any other incarnation of sex worker, it’s important that we remember we’re all fighting the same battle. We’re all fighting against over policing and criminalisation, stigma and discrimination.  No matter how we categorize ourselves, we are up against the same enemies!

You’d think with such an uphill battle, we’d be more united but the world isn’t perfect. I’m not surprised about social stigma and discrimination associated with this line of work but to be on the receiving end of judgement from peers simply perpetuates negative concepts. It’s especially hurtful when being judged by peers; but I realise we all have a lot of internalised misogyny to unpack and process.

FSSW is no better or more “socially acceptable” than Onlyfans or vice versa. Regardless of how a sex worker identifies and marketing jargon aside, we must work together to destigmatise and decriminalise this industry for all of us.

Part 2 of “How I Became An Elite London Escort” will be coming soon….
